Aromatherapy Hands-on Class at FRCC - Front Range Community College
 is part of the Holistic Health Program through Front Range Community College, taught by Mary Axelrod, MBA, BCMT, LMT, CR.

Classes are taught at the FRCC Campus - Loveland at the FRCC Loveland Campus or the main FRCC Campus (Larimer) in Fort Collins. Most classes are available Fall and Spring semesters.

This short class is open to anyone - no prerequisite. It's a lot of fun and you'll learn a lot of basic information about essential oils and how to use them for yourself, your family, and your home. You may take this class just for fun and personal interest or you may be planning on completing the classes for the Aromatherapy Certificate at FRCC to launch a new career! This is a college credit class and requires admission to FRCC.

Aromatherapy - Class number: HHP 108
Description: In this short class you will learn about Aromatherapy and how it works as well as experience it. The class covers the many aspects of using essential oils. Six basic essential oils will be studied - Lavender, Eucalyptus, Tee Tree, Peppermint, Rose Geranium and Rosemary. You can purchase an essential oils kit from the FRCC Bookstore as part of your class supplies.

This is a college credit class - a hybrid class with both classroom time as well as required online components. Classroom time includes lecture, discussions and hands-on activities using essential oils. Homework assignments (outside classroom time) will include participating in online discussions, viewing videos, completing projects, online tests and creating aromatherapy blends and products. You must have regular access to a computer to complete the online parts of this class. Important Note - FRCC requires that you complete an online orientation (1-3 hours to complete) prior to taking this class if you have never taken an online class at Front Range Community College.

You must physically attend all classes as well as complete all required online components. Classes will meet in at the FRCC Loveland Campus in the Thompson School District Building.

This class will be offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.

Become a Professional Reflexologist!
Reflexology Classes & Certificate
- part of the Holistic Health Program through Front Range Community College, taught by Mary Axelrod, MBA, BCMT, LMT, CR.

You can take classes that lead to a certificate in Reflexology. The
 Reflexology Certificate Program (300+ hours) is part of the Holistic Health Program at Front Range Community College in Fort Collins, Colorado. After completion of the classes for the Reflexology Certificate you will meet the requirements to become a professional Reflexologist, apply for professional membership in the Reflexology Association of America and meets the qualifications to sit for the national exam and become certified through The American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB).

Note: Introduction to Reflexology HHP 166 is the first class of the Reflexology series and the foundation of the Reflexology program. This program always begins in the fall semester (August). The 5-week intro class is required before other reflexology classes at Front Range Community College. You can complete the classes for a Reflexology certificate in as little as two semesters!

This program is open to anyone - no prerequisite. You may take the intro class just for fun and personal interest or you may be planning on completing the program for the Reflexology Certification at FRCC to launch a new career!  These are college credit classes and requires admission to FRCC.

Description: In this hands-on class you will learn about Reflexology and how it works as well as experience it. The class covers the many aspects of Reflexology as a Holistic Therapy. We will also cover some basics of anatomy and structure of the feet, contraindications, ethics and professionalism as well as documentation needed for sessions. This Reflexology course has both classroom time as well as required online components. Classroom time includes lecture, discussions, hands-on activities and tests. You will have specific lab time in the classroom learning to do Reflexology on the feet.  Homework assignments (outside classroom time) will include reading the text, participating in online discussions, viewing videos, completing online tests and practicing what you've learned in class on friends and family members.

You must physically attend all classes as well as complete all required online components. Classes are 'hands-on' and meet at the FRCC Loveland campus in Loveland at the Thompson School District Building,

Reflexology 1 & 2 is available in the Fall semester. Consecutive classes for Reflexology 3 & 4 is available in the spring semesters at FRCC.  

Ethics for Holistic Therapists - offered through Front Range Community College, taught by Mary Axelrod, MBA, BCMT, LMT, CR.

Earn CE's for your license from this hybrid class - offered fall, spring and some summer semesters. This class is part of the Holistic Health Program at Front Range Community College in Fort Collins, Colorado. 

HHP 261 - Ethics - This 10-week class is open to anyone - no prerequisite. It is suitable for anyone majoring in the healing professions - body workers, massage therapists & Reflexologists, wellness coaches, holistic professionals and anyone working with clients in a therapeutic manner. This is a college credit class and requires admission to FRCC.

The focus of this class is on personal and professional ethics and boundaries as we explore the psychology of various aspects of the therapeutic relationship with clients. We will also cover information about laws and licensing for massage therapists, scope of practice (what you can and can't do), different communication styles and privacy & confidentiality of client records. This class also covers information about the importance of touch, the power of therapeutic touch, professionalism, and creating a safe healing space for your clients.

This is a college credit course (2 college credit hours) and requires admission to FRCC. If you are taking CE classes, and need documentation, you must request a transcript from FRCC (see website).

Become a Certified Massage Therapist
This is a new program 
offered through Front Range Community College (FRCC) in Fort Collins, Colorado. Classes are taught by several instructors including Mary Axelrod, MBA, BCMT, RMT, CR.

Note that prerequisites are required. Application for admission to the massage therapy program is required after the completion of the prerequisites at FRCC.

Take HHP 263 to help you launch your holistic business. You can take this as a classroom class or strictly online. This 10-week class is offered in some form each semester at FRCC. No prerequisite. This is a college credit class and requires admission to FRCC.
